LOUETTE'S PROGRAMS & SERVICES
Medical assistance

The foundation operates on different levels:

Financial assistance for medicine and hospitalization
Even though food and lodging in Filipino public hospitals are free, the patient has to pay for all the hospital care (bandages, syringes, scanners, radios, drugs, etc.). This may rapidly amount to important sums.
The medical service in the Philippines is not costly but different drugs, which are usually imported, are. People seriously ill can not afford the proper care without an outside financial help. Their only choice is to borrow from usurers.
Our foundation offers loans or total support in case of extreme poverty.

Free consultations
The foundation can provide direct help in some cases. We heal minor wounds, cuts, burns, and all infections caused by insalubrity and by a way of life lacking basic hygiene.
Free consultation are given by doctors partners to the foundation to the more destitute families
Yearly, the Foundation conducts free medical and dental consultations and services for families from the depressed areas of Malibay. This project is carried out with the Pasay Dental Society and with other medical groups and civic organizations, which provide the foundation with free services.
Seminars are also organized on health, hygiene, and birth control.

Hygiene
We contributed to the cementing of the major part of the one trail, which crosses the shantytown of Malibay. This trail is not only the children's only playground but also serves as bathing room for many families. It takes all the used waters and other garbage of the population. The foundation also helped during the installation of sanitary evacuation on this trail.
